Washington, D.C. – CCAA is pleased to confirm the schedule for the 2017 Disaster Management Workshop Series (DMWS). The series will launch on March 29th in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will continue throughout the spring in Guyana, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, and the Cayman Islands.

The dates and locations for the 2017 DMWS are:

  • March 29th – San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • April 5th – Guyana
  • April 26th – Anguilla
  • May 3rd – Antigua
  • May 4th – St. Lucia
  • June 21st – Cayman Islands

For 2017,  series co-hosts Caribbean-Central American Action (CCAA) and Tropical Shipping will work alongside collaborating partners from the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA). 

This year’s workshops will focus on “Building Community Resiliency through Strategic Private Public Partnerships”, and will be organized in collaboration with national disaster management organizations from the public sector, as well as with community-based private sector organizations, in each destination.
