On May 21, 2014, CCAA partnered with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to host a special presentation on “The Caribbean and Central American Partnership for Catastrophe Risk Insurance”.  As the Pro Tempore President of the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Dominican Republic has been focused on disaster risk management. The meeting was an opportunity for regional Ambassadors and the extended donor community to learn more about the importance and scope of the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) and to discuss the building additional support for Central American nations becoming a part of the CCRIF. The session was moderated by CCAA Executive Director, Sally Yearwood, and featured a distinguished panel.  Speakers were:
