CCAA welcomed three new members to the Board during the semi-annual Board Meeting on June 6, 2014. The new members included one new Trustee and two new Advisory Trustees.
The new Trustee is Mr. Robert Rothbaum who is the President and CEO of Val D’or Apparel, a manufacturer of branded and private label activewear and sportswear. The company has operations in Amman, Jordan and has recently begun operating in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The two new Advisory Trustees are: Mr. Juan Antonio Busto who is the Past President of the Federation of Chambers of Industry of Central America and the Dominican Republic (FECAICA). Mr. Busto, who is also the Past President of the Chamber of Industry of Guatemala, has been an active part of CCAA, and has been at the forefront of getting FECAICA as a strong partner at CCAA’s annual conference. The second Advisory Trustee is Mr. Jeffrey S. Vasser who is the Director General and CEO of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA). CCAA and CHTA have a long-standing collaborative relationship.
CCAA Trustees are primarily contributing members from the private sector. Advisory Trustees are primarily from organizations that share a common vision for the Caribbean and Central America with CCAA, and often the board relationship is reciprocal.
