Collateral Event: “The Scale and Impact of China’s Investment in the Caribbean”
A Special Presentation by Ambassador Richard L. Bernal at CCAA’s 38th Annual Conference

PRESS RELEASE, Washington, DC ~  Caribbean Central American Action is pleased to announce a special presentation on China’s investment in the Caribbean, featuring Ambassador Richard L. Bernal, during the 38th Annual Conference on the Caribbean and Central America. Ambassador Bernal is the author of “Dragon in the Caribbean. China’s Global Re-dimensioning – Challenges and Opportunities for the Caribbean” .

This special event, which will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2014, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. will include a timely presentation on the growth of China’s investment in the Caribbean as well as an interactive discussion with the audience on the implications and impact of this investment. Participation will be open to all Conference attendees; “Dragon in the Caribbean” will be available for purchase on-site.

Ambassador Dr. Richard L. Bernal is Senior Counselor – The Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago – at the Inter-American Development Bank. A former Jamaican Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the OAS, Ambassador Bernal was previously the Director-General of the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery and former lead negotiator for CARICOM.
