Adam M. Goldstein, President & COO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Dear Colleague,

Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA) looks forward to welcoming delegates to the

from November 15-17, 2017 at the Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables.41st Annual Conference on the Caribbean and Central America

2017 was an exceptionally destructive year throughout the region, with Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Nate, bringing devastation to the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States.  While the affected areas are still dealing with the aftermath, the entire region is re-examining its readiness, and its resilience.

There are important considerations for all stakeholders, and on Friday, November 17, CCAA41 will feature a special session to talk about the particular issues related to economic resilience.  When a major storm hits, there is a significant loss of employment, with businesses forced to close their doors.  Experts will discuss what the public and private sectors each put on the table, and how they can collaborate to strengthen the infrastructure that supports economic recovery.    CCAA is pleased to confirm that Adam M. Goldstein, President and COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL), will be headline this discussion.  RCCL has been a leader in responding to the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean.  They have delivered supplies, coordinated evacuations, and now, they are resuming cruises to the impacted destinations, allowing for the important step of people resuming their livelihoods.  Mr. Goldstein will bring RCCL’s unique perspective to the Conference, and lead off a discussion that will resonate into 2018.
