The 39th Annual Conference on the Caribbean and Central America:
A New Era in Regional Integration
U.S.-Cuba relations are evolving. While the timetable and ultimate shape of this evolution is uncertain, the reality that a large, resource-rich island with over 11 million inhabitants could be on the verge of emerging as an integrated player on the global economic stage has implications for its neighbors in Central America and the Caribbean. For the first time in its 39 years, Caribbean-Central American Action’s (CCAA) Annual Conference focused on a single issue; the subject of Cuba was examined within the framework of regional trade and investment, and the current status of regulations and transactions.
The 39th Annual Conference on the Caribbean and Central America took place from November 15-17, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Miami in Miami, Florida.
